ConnectSalman Akhtar is Founder and Co-CEO of Techlogix. He has led the company’s growth as a methodology driven organization focused on delivering engineering excellence using an evolving mix of technologies.
He is the primary contributor in the development of the BPX™, the industry leading BPM/SOA delivery methodology. He has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences and panels. Salman’s current technical interests include SaaS models of solution delivery for enterprise systems, innovative technologies for solving large scale problems in the financial services and higher education verticals and the merging of BPM/SOA, operational Business Intelligence and event driven business systems.
Salman holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering from MIT. He did his MS thesis research in compound semiconductor physics at the IBM Watson Research Center.

ConnectKewan Khawaja is Founder and Co-CEO of Techlogix. While donning multiple hats, Kewan loves playing a motivational role to bring out the best in the company’s multifaceted workforce.
His consulting interests are focused around business process management, business intelligence, and alignment of enterprise IT initiatives with corporate strategy.
Kewan holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Funded by the US Army’s Construction Engineering Research Laboratory, his research work at MIT was focused on developing spatial analysis tools for the US Army’s geographic information system.
Before founding Techlogix, Kewan worked at Boston-based Cambridge Technology Partners where he developed applications for American Airlines. At a previous position at Steven & Associates, Kewan developed vibration analysis software for power plants and chip-manufacturing facilities.

ConnectNadeem Malik has over 20 years of experience in delivering a wide range of Information Systems projects. His experience includes enterprise systems for retail and manufacturing, web based products for Internet businesses, modernization of legacy systems and public sector solutions for US and international government agencies.
Nadeem has led large global delivery teams and has helped major US companies establish offshore development centers. As head of professional services, he streamlined project management, team communications and implemented CMMi based software development processes. In his projects he has focused on aligning diverse technical teams with the business objectives and solving the customer problem to improve performance.

Aijaz Baloch

ConnectAijaz Baloch leads the Machine Learning (ML) Group, while also managing US Operations for Techlogix. He has over 25 years of experience in developing Machine Learning and Data Science technology solutions. His current interests include automating Machine Learning Interpretability and Explainable AI.
Aijaz has previously worked at MIT Lincoln Laboratories in the Machine Intelligence group where he developed a neural network system for behavioral conditioning of mobile robots. From 1995 to 1998, Aijaz held a research faculty position at Boston University’s Department of Cognitive and Neural Systems. There he developed neural models of visual motion perception and implemented real-time systems for visual motion processing. From 1998 to 2000, Aijaz developed models of financial fraud detection as a Senior Modeling Scientist at Nestor, Inc.
Aijaz received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Boston University in Engineering & Applied Sciences. He has published several papers in reputed international journals. He was also awarded a US patent for his inventions at Techlogix.

Safwan Shah is an industry expert in payments, transaction processing and self-service delivery systems.
From 1999 to 2008, Safwan was the President of Infonox, the market pioneer and leader in delivering multiple, end-to-end, payment services to casinos, banks, retail and money transfer businesses. Under Safwan’s entrepreneurial leadership, Infonox developed and successfully operated financial payment platforms that touch over 100M consumers and settle over $20 billion annually. In 2008, Infonox was acquired by TSYS (NYSE:TSS) as the best in class technology platform for expanding their global payment processing and merchant acquiring business. Before Infonox, Safwan held research positions at BioServe Space Technologies (a NASA center for commercial development of space) and was an integral part of a number of landmark experiments that have been flown in the US Space Shuttle Program.
As early as 1997, in the pure Internet, social media space, Safwan Shah co-founded Chowk (www.chowk.com). Chowk, which means town square or intersection, remains the premier social website used by English speaking people of India and Pakistan for discussion and dialog on political and social issues. Several million people annually visit Chowk and it is recognized as the independent voice of reason and peace in the region.
Safwan has a Masters in Electrical Engineering and Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from University of Colorado at Boulder. His current focus is in the area of social media and in providing strategic advisory and consulting services to several Silicon Valley companies.
Mishaal H. Shirazi

Ms. Mishaal H. Shirazi has diversified international experience in financial services, underwriting and risk, credit, capital markets, and multi-level capital structures. She graduated in Foreign Affairs, Finance and South Asian Studies from the University of Virginia, USA.
She has more than seven years of experience with Atlas Asset Management Limited, while five years of portfolio management experience as a Vice President with the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi in New York and was nominated for the Global leadership program by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, California.
At Atlas Asset Management, her core role is overseeing overall sales function and she is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy to maximize corporate and retail sales and assets under management. During her association with Atlas Asset Management, she is actively involved in new business initiatives, strategy, product development, and marketing.
Navid Goraya

Navid Goraya brings with himself over 25 years of global experience in asset management, investment strategy, product development and corporate finance. Before joining Karandaaz as the CIO, he was leading a Strategic Advisory Firm, White Oak Advisors Inc, in New York where he was involved in serving private equity funds, family offices, banks and insurance companies in support of global investments in the US, Middle East, South East Asia and South Asia. Earlier, at HSBC USA, Mr Navid advised approx US$6 billion in specialized funds of HSBC and led a global wealth team covering North America, the GCC, and South East Asia. He has also led specialized Investment Banking teams at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Qatar National Bank. At IICG Bahrain, he led a Capital Markets Group managing proprietary funds and endowment portfolios. In Pakistan, Mr Navid has led an award-winning research team at a leading brokerage house in the Karachi Stock Exchange.
Navid has an MBA from IBA (University of Karachi) and has also attended the High-Performance Leadership Programs at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, and London Business School. He also serves on the advisory boards of firms in life sciences and financial services in New York.
Salik S Malik
Director
Salik Malik was an early believer in the company. He became the first angel investor, and has been a founding member of the Board ever since.
Salik has been a consultant to major Chinese corporations in the development of energy and infrastructure projects in Pakistan, and is currently focused on enlarging his work’s geographic footprint. His other interests are in bringing quality education to rural communities, for which he has set up a village school.
Salik holds a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from MIT.
Hussain Kassam

Hussain Kassam is the CEO of the Kassam Family Office which is based out of DIFC. He is a member of the Board of Midas Safety Holdings Limited (The Operating Business owned by the Kassam Family) and on the HR and Audit committees. Hussain has been associated with the Midas Group since 1997 in various leadership positions in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Canada. In his current role, as CEO of the Kassam Family Office, he is responsible for managing the family’s investments via active and passive investing across both public and private markets. Hussain is a graduate of Bentley University, Waltham Massachusetts, US. He is married with two children has been residing in Dubai since 2010.
